Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis of Plates Subjected to Explosive Loads

Blast loads have been increasingly studied in the past decades, especially regarding civil structures. Until recently, negative phase of these has disregarded, but studies concluded that effect suction must be included. In case plates, nonlinearity plays an important role, and membrane should also considered. This work focuses on influence plates subjected to blast loads. Equations were developed for calculation load parameters, considering positive phases are approximated by Friedlander equation cubic polynomial, respectively. The plate is modeled as a SDOF system using von Karman's theory large displacements. development nonlinear dynamic differential reviewed, simply supported plate, its solution based fourth order Runge-Kutta numerical method. A reference example used benchmark then parametric conducted, which scaled distance, mass explosive, consideration or not analyzed.
